Overview

Overnight adventure trails are the best way to explore the beauty of the Misty Mountains in Knuckles range that covers an area of approximately 21,000 ha. This is part of the Central Highlands World Heritage site, declared in 2010. The Forest Range supports a rich biological diversity with 128 species of birds, 20 species of amphibians, 53 species of reptiles, 15 freshwater species and 31 mammal species.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Start the tour with hotel pickup⌄

    05:30: You will be picked up from your Hotel in Kandy and transferred to Hunnasgiriya where you will meet your nature guide and start a memorable ride to Meemure village. Your first part of the adventure begins at 1000m above sea level. 08:40: After collecting memorable photographs of the nature, you will arrive at the Campsite for breakfast 10:00: You will start your nature expedition to Meemure village with your guide. During this tour you will experience some water activities and explore the authenticity of the Meemrure Village and the traditions of the village people. 13:30: You will experience a traditional Sri Lankan lunch at a village house. 15:00: After sharing the experience of the village people, you will start your journey back to the campsite. 16:00: Arrive at the campsite for Evening tea. After tea you will relax and enjoy the pleasure of the surrounding environment. 19:00: Sit closer to the bon fire and enjoy the BBQ dinner. Spend the overnight at the campsite.

  2. 2Waterfall Trekking and Leave to Kandy⌄

    08:30: After breakfast, you will do river base trekking to seven waterfalls with 3 water activities. 12:00: Return to the campsite for Lunch. 13:30: Check out from the campsite and proceed to the location where you will start another memorable trekking tour to mini worlds' end. 17:00: You will arrive at Hunnasgiriya where you will meet your driver who will drop you at Kandy city or at the hotel you plan to stay overnight.
