Overview

This private 4-day tour is a comprehensive Huangshan tour with side trips to Hongcun Village. Bearing many natural wonders, Mt. Huangshan (Yellow Mountain) boasts all the charms of the notable mountains of China. Meanwhile, nestled in its shadow are ancient villages, all of which have become magnets for native and foreign tourists alike, with their perfectly preserved and unequaled Ming and Qing Anhui architectural style buildings.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Huangshan Airport Pick-up & Tunxi Old Street⌄

On your arrival, your guide will greet you at Huangshan Airport and transfer you to the downtown hotel for check-in.

If time permits, you will visit Tunxi Ancient Street, one of the most famous ancient streets in China. Rambling in the street, you will feel like walking through time as you will find quaint buildings from different dynasties.

Overnight: Huangshan International Hotel (4 stars)

  2. 2Yellow Mountain Tour⌄

After breakfast, your guide and driver will take you for the pleasant Yellow Mountain tour. As one of the five most famous mountains in China, the Yellow Mountain (Mt. Huangshan) is noted for its four wonders: the fantastic pines, grotesque rocks, the sea of clouds and hot springs. When taking the cable car to climb up the mountain, you will find yourself among the magnificent scenery. Today's sightseeing mainly focuses on the White Goose Peak, the Beginning-to-Believe Peak, and the Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, which are all attractions greatly favored by visitors. You will stay overnight at the hotel on the mountain.

    Meals: Breakfast · Lunch

Overnight: Xihai Hotel (4 stars) - North Building

  3. 3Huangshan & Hongcun Village (Yixian County)⌄

You will have the whole morning to continue exploring the Flying-over Rock, the Bright Summit, the Lion Peak and the Xihai Grand Canyon. Like its intriguing name, Flying-over Rock balanced on a tiny flat ledge is truly a natural wonder. Climbing to the Refreshing Terrace on Lion Peak, one could admire the sea of clouds at its best. The 9-mile-long Xihai Grand Canyon is noted for its abundant grotesque peaks and varied stones.

Afterward, you will take the cable car to get down the mountain and be transferred to Hongcun Village in Yixian County. You will stay overnight at a local hotel, which is full of the characteristic of Huizhou architecture.

    Meals: Breakfast · Lunch

Overnight: Pig's Inn in Bishan Village

  4. 4Hongcun Village & Departure from Huangshan⌄

After breakfast, you will have a morning exploration of Hongcun Ancient Village. A stroll in this ancient village will take you back to the alleys from 600 years ago. Here you will see 158 residential buildings built in the Ming and Qing dynasties and most of them are well reserved.
