Overview
Explore Puglia and Matera in five days with a small group of up to eight guests. Starting from Bari every Sunday, the tour includes two nights in Trani and two in Bari, local guided visits, Castel del Monte, Alberobello and Matera, and the food experiences described in the itinerary. Departure is guaranteed with one participant. Available in English and Spanish.
Day by day itinerary
1Sunday — Arrival in Bari and Trani⌄
Meet in Bari at 15:00 for the included transfer to Trani. Check in to your boutique hotel in the historic centre, then enjoy a guided walk through Trani at 18:00 and a welcome aperitivo by the harbour at 19:30.
Overnight: Boutique hotel in Trani historic centre (Palazzo Paciotti or similar). Night 1 of 2.
2Monday — Castel del Monte and Moscato di Trani⌄
Visit the UNESCO-listed Castel del Monte with a licensed local guide and an included entrance ticket. Return to Trani at about 13:00; later, enjoy a guided tasting of Moscato di Trani and local wines at 16:30.
Back in Trani, enjoy time to explore the historic harbour before the included Moscato di Trani tasting in the afternoon.

3Tuesday — Burrata, Olive Oil and Bari at Sunset⌄
After breakfast, leave Trani for a hands-on dairy visit with a cheesemaker. Watch mozzarella and burrata being made and enjoy the included tasting.
Visit an olive mill for an included extra-virgin olive oil tasting with Puglian bread. Arrive in Bari at about 15:00, check in to your central hotel, then discover Bari Vecchia and the Basilica of San Nicola with a local guide at 18:00.

4Wednesday — Alberobello and Polignano a Mare⌄
Explore the UNESCO-listed trulli districts of Alberobello with a licensed local guide. See the traditional conical-roofed houses and panoramic views of the historic neighbourhoods.
Walk along the sea cliffs and through Polignano a Mare with a local guide, including the view over Lama Monachile. Enjoy the included traditional focaccia and special coffee. Return to Bari at about 14:00.

5Thursday — Matera and Return to Bari⌄
After breakfast in Bari, travel to Matera for a licensed guided tour of the Sassi, including a furnished cave house and a frescoed rupestrian church. Enjoy time on your own from about 12:30 to 15:00, then take the included return transfer to Bari airport or central station at 15:00.
