This is the perfect time to search for the Northern Lights, with two excursions included in the tour. Throughout our journey, we’ll visit prime locations for viewing this spectacular phenomenon, as the tour is tailored for optimal aurora sightings. Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Welcome to Iceland. Individual transfer by Flybus shuttle bus from Keflavik Airport to your accommodation in Reykjavík.⌄

    Relax at your hotel or explore Iceland’s capital city on your own if time allows. The hotel is ideally located to explore the city on foot with the main shopping street, Laugavegur, just around the corner.

  2. 2Volcano Crater, Fjords & Mountains⌄

    At 09:00, meet our tour guide at Reykjavík Natura Berjaya Iceland Hotels. Set off west along the scenic Hvalfjörður fjord and through the charming town of Borgarnes. Enjoy a leisurely hike up Grábrók volcano crater, surrounded by a green lava field.

    Continue north to explore Glaumbær, a beautiful turf house farm and folk museum.

  3. 3The Capital of North Iceland, Lake Mývatn & Geothermal baths⌄

    In the morning, discover the charm of Akureyri, often called the capital of North Iceland, and take in the panoramic views over the Eyjafjörður fjord.

    In the afternoon, visit Goðafoss, the majestic “waterfalls of the gods".

  4. 4Lava Labyrinth, Hot Springs & Travel East⌄

    In the morning, wander through the lava labyrinth at Dimmuborgir, known as “the dark castles,” where local legends say trolls reside.

    In the afternoon, explore the hot spring area of Námaskarð, with its bubbling mud pools and steaming solfataras. Travel through the uninhabited highlands, resembling a lunar landscape, to reach East Iceland.

    Spend the day admiring the dramatic fjord landscape and quaint fishing villages tucked away at the ends of winding roads in the East Fjords. Along the route, visit a fascinating stone and mineral collection.

    End the day at Jökulsárlón glacial lagoon, filled with floating icebergs. Explore this extraordinary site and possibly spot seals swimming in the icy waters.

  6. 6Vatnajökull National Park, Glacier Lagoon, Diamond Beach & South Coast⌄

    In the afternoon, take a scenic drive through the Eldhraun lava field and the sandy deserts of the south coast, framed by towering cliffs, glaciers, and waterfalls

    Witness the Icelandic Lava Show, where you can experience real lava being melted to a molten state.

    Then walk along the black lava beach of Reynisfjara near Vík

    Visit the impressive 60-meter high Skógafoss waterfall in Skógar.

    Continue to Seljalandsfoss waterfall, where an exciting trail leads behind the cascading water.

  7. 7Icelandic Horses & Golden Circle⌄

    Discover the classics today as we journey through the Golden Circle route. Begin at Friðheimar farm, where you’ll learn about the unique Icelandic horse and visit a geothermal greenhouse.

    Next, arrive at the Geysir geothermal fields, where steam rises from various hot springs and bubbling pools. Watch Strokkur, “the Churn,” erupt every 5-7 minutes.

    Continue to Gullfoss, the “golden falls,” a stunning double waterfall that plunges 32 meters into the Hvítá river.

    Head inland to Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
