Day by day itinerary

1. 1Kigali pick up-Akagera NP⌄

   Arrival and exploration of Akagera National Park. Overnight at Akagera Rhino Lodge. Highlights: Savannah landscapes and first wildlife encounters.

   Overnight: Akagera Rihno Lodge -self contained rooms.

2. 2Lake Mburo National Park.⌄

   Morning game drive, then cross Mirama Hills border into Uganda. Overnight at Leopard Rest Camp. Highlights: Transition from Rwanda’s plains to Uganda’s rolling hills.

   Overnight: Leopard Rest Camp

3. 3Lake Mburo to Queen Elizabeth NP⌄

   Optional walking safari or biking in Lake Mburo, then drive to Queen Elizabeth NP. Highlights: Zebras, antelopes,Elands and diverse landscapes.

   Overnight: Bush Lodge

4. 4Queen Elizabeth NP-Lake Bunyonyi⌄

   Morning game drive, afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga Channel. Transfer to Kigezi-Lake Bunyonyi, stay at Overland Camp. Highlights: Hippos, elephants, and stunning birdlife

   Overnight: Overlamnd camp

5. 5Lake Bunyonyi⌄

   Full day of activities: Punishment Island, traditional healer visit, canoeing. Highlights: Cultural immersion and serene lake views.

6. 6Lake Bunyonyi to Mgahinga⌄

   Breakfast, drive via Echuya Forest for Batwa community visit. Overnight at Ikaze Cottages. Highlights: Indigenous Batwa culture and forest walk.

7. 7Gorilla Trekking in Mt Mgahinga.⌄

   Morning gorilla trek in Mgahinga NP, afternoon relaxation. Highlights: Once‑in‑a‑lifetime gorilla encounter.

8. 8Twin Lakes Ruhondo & Burera.⌄

   Coffee experience near DRC border with local lunch. Cross into Rwanda, visit Twin Lakes Ruhondo & Burera. Stay at Isange Paradise Resort. Highlights: Coffee culture and volcanic lake scenery.

9. 9Musanze Exploration⌄

   Visit Dian Fossey Memorial, Musanze market, and Ishuti art center. Overnight at Isange Paradise Resort. Highlights: Conservation history and local crafts.

    After breakfast it will take you 4–5 hour drive to Kigali. City tour while awaiting evening flight home. Highlights: Kigali Genocide Memorial, vibrant city life
