We are the only official natural reserve dedicated to preserving the wax palm forests and actively participating in the conservation of this unique environment.

We promote nature, based and community tourism in the region.

When you visit us, you are contributing directly to the conservation of Colombia’s national tree: The Wax Palm .

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Day 1 – Exploration & Cultural Expedition⌄

    Meet us in Salento at Casa Bedoya, Armenia, Pereira and coffee region Airports. Scenic Journey Begin your expedition along a breathtaking route with stops at: Cestillal Alto de La Línea Plan de La Ceja Transfer: 25 km / approx. 2 hours Activities Horseback ride into the sanctuary and farm check-in Traditional lunch and expedition briefing Guided hike through the High Andean Forest, discovering the origin and ecological importance of the wax palm Conservation expedition activity: plant your own wax palm seedling and leave a living legacy Dinner at the farm, immersed in the sounds of nature

  2. 2Day 2 – Adventure Expedition & Rural Life⌄

    Dawn Expedition (Optional | 4:00–5:00 AM) Participate in early farm activities: Milking cows Visiting bird nests Eco-garden walk Hands-On Cultural Expedition Traditional cooking class: arepas and hot chocolate Guided hike to the Wax Palm woods Lunch at the farm Horseback Expedition. Evening Expedition Moments Rooftop viewpoint with panoramic valley views Campfire under the stars Shared dinner and stories with fellow explorers

  3. 3Day 3 – High Andean Cloud Forest Expedition⌄

    Morning Expedition Traditional breakfast surrounded by mist and birdsong Guided expedition hike through the High Andean Cloud Forest to Alto Cielo, where towering wax palms rise above ethereal landscapes Observation of endemic flora and fauna Farewell Expedition Horseback ride back to the starting point Light meal on the way End of the expedition with lifelong memories

Good to know

Starts: Casa Bedoya, Calle Real con Calle 3, Salento Quindío, Colombia.

Ends: We will pick you up wherever you are staying—hotel, airport, or another agreed location—and we will also drop you off wherever you prefer at the end of the experience. If you wish to continue your expedition on your own, you may also finish in Salento at Casa Bedoya Restaurant.

Cancellation: For a full refund, cancel at least 24 hours before the scheduled departure time.
