Overview

There literally is nothing else like this! We walk the land, we sleep under the stars, our ponies pack the kit.

Dorset is a stunning county, with two Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty and 40% of the county designated National Landscape. It is a complex network of rolling fields, ancient woodlands, pine plantations and the tracks and green lanes that connect them, and we get you right in the middle of it, camping wild in ancient woodland.

We take the work out of your walk by not only planning a gorgeous route, but with the help of our furry friends, Bob and Evie, the pack ponies.

Meander through heathland, woodland & plantation.

Cross sparkling fords, take in distant views.

Visit thatched villages along old smugglers routes.

Our route is carefully planned, tried and tested to give you the best experience with pack ponies.

Walk further, camp wilder, breathe...

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Day One⌄

We meet the ponies and pack your bags onto them before showing you how to lead them safely and setting off along the Arabian Trail and across Briantspuddle Heath before walking into our woodland.

Meals: Dinner: We cook a delicious curry on the campfire, serve with fluffy white rice and top it off with a campfire fruit cobbler.

Overnight: You decide where in the 100 acres of woodland you'd like to pitch your tent and/or hang your hammock.

  2. 2Your Day in the Woods⌄

Your day to do as you please - chill in the peace of the woodland, explore the area or do pony TLC and/or learn to long rein them around the woods.

Meals: Breakfast: Bacon butties and/or hearty muesli, lashings of tea, coffee and/or juice. · Lunch: Ploughman's hamper for you to find your own perfect picnic spot. · Dinner: Your very own cook-on-the-campfire meal, marshmallows included ;-)
