The Temple of Kom Ombo is a unique and fascinating site because it is a "double temple," with two perfectly symmetrical sections, each dedicated to a different god. One half honors Sobek, the crocodile god of fertility and creator of the world, while the other is dedicated to Haroeris, or Horus the Elder, the falcon god.
