Day by day itinerary

1. 1Arrive in Tokyo⌄

   Free time to explore the area and see the famous Shibuya Crosswalk.

2. 2Tokyo⌄

   Start your adventure off by visiting Asakusa to explore Senso-ji, Tokyo’s oldest Buddhist temple built in 645 AD.

   Visit Tsukiji’s lively and historic Outer Market with vendors selling fresh seafood.

   Go to the Tokyo Grand Sumo Tournament and see sumo wrestlers compete against each other.

3. 3Nagoya⌄

   Ride the Japanese bullet train to Nagoya and visit Inuyama Castle, one of only 12 original castles in Japan and a designated National Treasure.

4. 4Kiso Valley⌄

   Slip back to earlier time and enjoy the beautifully preserved post town of Tsumago in the Kiso Valley. The town used to serve travelers on the Nakasendo Trail, the route connecting Tokyo and Kyoto during the Edo Period.

5. 5Kyoto⌄

   Visit the World Heritage Site of Kiyomizu Temple and walk the Higashiyama District with old wooden houses and small shops.

6. 6Kyoto⌄

   Visit the beautiful World Heritage Site of Kinkaku-ji, known as the Golden Temple.

   Visit Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine and walk through thousands of red torii gates.

   Explore the very exciting walking streets of Dotonbori. This is a good chance to see Japan’s pop culture and try Osaka’s famous takoyaki!

7. 7Tokyo⌄

   Enjoy a free day to explore other sights and catch up on last minute shopping. Optional excursion to view the architecture of Tokyo Station, see the electronics town of Akihabara, and visit a boutique Sumie Art Gallery where you can learn the technique of Sumie painting.

8. 8Depart Japan⌄

   Check out of the hotel and head to Narita Airport.
