Day by day itinerary
1Kigali City Tour and Akagera National Park⌄
Start your adventure with a city tour of Kigali, visiting the Kigali Genocide Memorial.
Then, head to Akagera National Park, stopping at the Imigongo Art Center for lunch and a chance to explore local arts and crafts. Check in at Akagera Mantis Game Lodge, where you can relax, swim, and enjoy dinner. In the evening, embark on a thrilling night game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife.

2Akagera safari game drive, Boat Safari & Transfer back to Kigali⌄
Begin your day with a morning game drive, followed by a boat safari on Lake Ihema. Enjoy a hot lunch at Mihindi Picnic Area before continuing your safari in the northern part of the park. Return to Kigali for dinner and an overnight stay at Hôtel des Mille Collines.

3Transfer to Volcanoes National Park⌄
Travel to Musanze, a convenient base for gorilla tracking. Visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund and the Iby'iwacu Cultural Village. Spend the night at Ingagi Park View hotel or Da Vinci Gorilla Lodge Hotel in Kinigi.

4Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park⌄
Wake up early and head to the RDB headquarters in Kinigi for a briefing. Meet your guides and rangers, and learn about gorilla trekking etiquette. Trek through the forest to find your assigned gorilla family, a once-in-a-lifetime wildlife encounter. After the trek, return to Kigali.
