Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Edinburgh to Islay⌄

    Pick-up: Edinburgh or Glasgow (surrounding area) • Meet your kilted guide, introduction, then depart for the Highlands via the Trossachs National Park Passing Stirling Castle on the way

    • Stop at Luss (Loch Lomond): conservation village with stunning views and pier.

    Drive along Loch Long & Loch Fyne to Inveraray: • Lunch stop • Optional visit to Inveraray Castle or explore the town.

    Continue to Kennacraig for ferry to Islay.

  2. 2Explore Islay (Custom Day)⌄

    This day is completely customised to the groups interests. You might want to start the day with a small hike up to the American Monument before starting the whisky distilleries. We will work with you to choose the most efficient plan to ensure we maximise the day’s events. Distillery tours must be booked ahead to avoid disappointment. This day is usually around 8 hours long (0900-1700)

  3. 3Day 3: Islay → Oban with half a day on Islay⌄

    This day will depend on ferry schedules: • Ideally spend half-day on Islay (extra distillery visits, hike, or sightseeing). • Return to mainland: • Visit Dunadd Fort & Kilmartin Glen (ancient stones & history). • End the day in Oban.

  4. 4Day 4: Oban → Glencoe → Edinburgh⌄

    Depart Oban via Loch Linnhe & Appin: • Photo stop at Castle Stalker.

    • Drive through Glencoe: • Multiple photo stops (Buachaille Etive Mor, mountain pass).

    • Continue east: • Falls of Dochart in Killin. • Lunch in Killin or Callander. • Visit Highland Cows.

    • Optional visit to Doune Castle or Stirling Castle Photos or interior visit time dependant • Return to Edinburgh (~18:30).
