Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Ha Giang – Heaven Gate – Twin Mountans – Can Ty Pass – Tham Ma Pass – Vuong Family Mansion – Dong Van Old Town⌄

    Arrive in Ha Giang city, check in at the hostel and get your bed dorm to rest. 08:00: Breakfast at the hostel. 09:00: Meet your local guide and start the Ha Giang loop.

    09:30: Start your journey along Bac Sum Pass - the first mountain pass you'll encounter on the iconic Ha Giang Loop, admiring the breathtaking scenery.

    11:30: Continue your journey through Can Ty Pass, another breathtaking location. Here, you will drive through winding mountain roads surrounded by towering limestone cliffs

    13:30: Checkin at Tham Ma Pass, an iconic snake-shaped mountain pass located at an elevation of 1500 meters, and features a route that zigzags very sharply

    14:30: Explore the Hmong King’s Palace - a historic relic reflecting Chinese–French–H’mong architecture

    16:30: Check in at a hotel in Dong Van town 19:00: Dinner time 20:00: Interact with locals and participate in traditional games. Enjoy enjoy a campfire with locals and easy riders

  2. 2DAY 2: Dong Van – Ma Pi Leng Pass – Meo Vac – Du Gia⌄

    9:00 AM – Dong Van Old Town: Begin your morning in the heart of the ancient quarter, where traditional H’mong houses and quiet stone alleys set a nostalgic tone.

    9:30 AM – Ma Pi Leng Pass: Drive along Vietnam’s most iconic pass, where towering cliffs plunge into deep valleys. You’ll stop at several viewpoints to take in the sweeping panorama of mountains and winding rivers.

    10:00 AM: Nho Que River Viewpoint: From this viewpoint, you’ll look down onto the emerald ribbon of the Nho Que River as it winds through towering cliffs. It’s one of the most iconic sights in Ha Giang, offering a perfect overview before you head closer to the river. 11:00 AM – Boat Trip on Nho Que River: Enjoy a peaceful boat ride as you glide between dramatic cliffs and crystal-clear waters—one of the most memorable experiences on the loop.

    3:00 PM – M Pass Viewpoint & Lung Ho Viewpoint: These quiet viewpoints offer a final look at the rugged mountain landscapes before descending into the softer valleys near Du Gia.

    5:30 PM – Homestay in Du Gia Village (Dinner at 7:00 PM): Settle into a tranquil Tày village, known for its stilt houses, rice fields, and relaxed rural charm.

    Overnight: Private room in a homestay in Du Gia (Homestay features: private room but might be shared bathroom)

  3. 3DAY 3: Du Gia – Duong Thuong – Ha Giang City⌄

    9:00 AM – Du Gia Waterfall: Start your day with a rejuvenating swim in the cool, clear waters of one of Ha Giang’s most beautiful waterfalls.

    10:40 AM – Duong Thuong Viewpoint: A remote viewpoint offering panoramic views of terraced valleys and quiet mountain villages.

    2:00 PM – Return to Ha Giang City: Enjoy the final stretch of the loop as the landscapes soften into rolling hills. Arrive in Ha Giang City at 3:30 PM, where the tour officially concludes. – Board your bus back to Hanoi or your next destination.
