Embark on a once-in-a-lifetime 3-day gorilla trekking adventure to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to nearly half of the world’s endangered mountain gorillas. This tour offers an intimate and breathtaking wildlife experience, starting from Kigali, Rwanda, and taking you deep into Uganda’s misty rainforest for an up-close encounter with a majestic gorilla family.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Transfer from Kigali to Bwindi & Mgahinga Gorilla National Park⌄

    Your tour driver shall pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or the International Airport and drive to Kigali Genocide Memorial is a place of remembrance and Learning dedicated to the Victims of the Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda after continuing to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in southwestern Uganda. This will be a 4-hour drive through Musanze or Gatuna Border with a stop for lunch. Then proceed to the Rwanda and Ugandan border post for documentation verification to entry into Uganda. Upon being verified, proceed on with the drive with endless view from the volcano ranges and community surrounding.

  2. 2Gorilla Trekking Day⌄

    Taking a packed lunch box you shall transfer to the Bwindi Park office by 7 am for briefing and allocating to the gorilla families. Bwindi National Park has the highest population of gorillas in Uganda and there are 19 habituated gorilla families which is the highest for any park. You will then head off into Bwindi forest for the gorilla trekking adventure, led by a park guide. Porters will be available for hire to carry your daypack. After several hours of trekking through the jungle and hiking sharp hills and ridges, you will the gorillas and be rewarded with 1 hour to observe them. After the gorilla experience, you shall return to the lodge and relax away the rest of the day

  3. 3Transfer from Bwindi to Kigali⌄

    On this day, we transfer to the foothills of the magnificent Virunga Mountains. The Virunga Mountains are a chain of 8 major volcanoes spread along the borders of Uganda, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of Congo. Three volcanoes (Sabyinyo, Gahinga, Muhavura) are located along the Uganda border, and these make up the Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. You will stop over at beautiful Lake Mutanda for a take photo to explore the breathtaking scenery. Lake Mutanda has such an idyllic setting. It is dotted by several islands and surrounded by after we close the border to the driver to Kigali we will have lunch in Musanze city
