Hear you can stay in Guest Houses in the villages tucked into different valleys and get to see a very different side of Uzbekistan & discover the Kyzyk-kum desert and enjoy a night with the stars at a jurta camp with camel trekking.
Hiking the Nuratau mountains is great for a number of reasons:
Different landscapes: mountains, trees and waterfalls
Different people: Kazakh shepherds and Tajik villagers
No cities: just nature and tiny villages

Day by day itinerary
1Drive from Bukhara to Nurata⌄
Pick up from hotel, drive 30km to Gishduvan famous ceramic workshop and see local artisan at work
drive 100 km, visit ancient village with alexander the great fortress remnant and local Mosque
drive 30 km to Ayder kul lake enjoy lunch and wet your feet
Drive to Yurt Camp in Kyzyk-kum desert, camel ride, explore desert dunes, dinner with Kazach music

Overnight: Overnight in Yurt Camp
2Drive to Ukhum, Nurata Mountain⌄
Drive to Ukum, half a day visit the ancient irrigation channels, petroglyph site and national park

3Hiking sentoyb - drive to starting point⌄
Hike through the village by visiting the nearby breeding enclosure of highly endangered Severtsov’s wild sheep. According to official statistics, approximately 2000 wild sheep are outside the enclosure in the Nuratau Mountains valleys. From the enclosure, continue walking up to the ruins of local fortress Shaxi Korgon situated on the hill opposite the enclosure.
Drive back along pictures mountain roads of Jizzakh, stop at local Bazaar 160km
