Overview

Discover Morocco's highlights with this fast-paced one-week trip beginning in Casablanca and ending in Marrakesh. Visit the four imperial cities of Rabat, Meknes, Fes, and Marrakesh. Travel along old caravan routes in the desert and spend the night camping among Saharan dunes and listening to traditional Berber music. Discover old fortified kasbahs and hidden oases before climbing over the High Atlas mountains into bustling Marrakesh.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1depart from Marrakech at 8:00 am, by minibus⌄

    Driving through the Atlas Mountains, we stop at the Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou for a tour of the complex, where lunch can be had in the restaurants (8-10 euros per meal).

    Our afternoon journey takes us to the Dades Valley. Here we will spend the night in a comfortable guesthouse with private rooms with private bathrooms, evening meal. and breakfast.

  2. 2Camel ride with night in Desert camps⌄

    After breakfast, our journey takes us through the Dades Valley and the Todra Gorges, discovering the many tourist sites of this region. Lunch can be taken at the cafe.

    Onwards to Merzouga for our final leg of today’s journey where we meet up with our camels to take us across the dunes of Merzouga, to our Berber desert camp. Our stay at the desert camp includes dinner, accommodation in traditional Berber tents and breakfast the following morning.

  3. 3Back to Marrakech⌄

    On our final day, we take our camels back to Merzouga. Then we enjoy our return journey through the Draa Valley to Ouarzazate, through the Atlas Mountains and back to Marrakech around 7pm.
