3 Day Package: Magical and Ancestral Chiapas

Embark on an unforgettable experience through the cultural and natural heart of Chiapas. For three days, you will tour majestic landscapes, indigenous communities full of tradition and natural wonders that will leave you breathless.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1San Cristobal - Viewpoints- Sumidero Canyon- Chiapa de Corzo⌄

8.45am, Departure from San Cristobal. Our first visit of the day takes us to a corner where nature becomes visual poetry. From the top of the first viewpoint, the landscape unfolds like an endless canvas of greens, mountains and open skies. It is the perfect start to a day that promises wonder, connection and moments that will be etched in the soul! Tuesday no access

Sail through the towering waters of Sumidero Canyon, where rock walls rise up to a thousand meters above the Grijalva River, creating a stunning natural spectacle. On board the boat, the wind caresses the face as we discover caves, waterfalls and the rich biodiversity that inhabits this natural sanctuary. A tour that arouses admiration and respect for the majesty of the Chiapas Earth

Explore Chiapa de Corzo, a charming magical village on the banks of the Grijalva River, where history and tradition are breathed in every corner. Walk through its central square, dominated by the imposing Mudejar fountain known as La Pila, built in the 16th century with red brick and octagonal shape, unique in its style in Latin America. As a curious fact, Chiapa de Corzo was the first city founded by the Spanish in the current state of Chiapas, in 1528, marking the beginning of a rich cultural fusion that still endures

  2. 2San Cristobal- San Juan Chamula- Zinacantan- San Cristobal⌄

9.15 am Take the journey to the indigenous communities of the Tzotzil ethnic group, immersing you in a world of living traditions and unique culture in San Juan Chamula. In this sacred place, spirituality manifests itself in surprising ways: in its main church, there are no conventional pews or altars, and prayers are mixed with the smoke of the cupola and the glitter of thousands of burning candles directly on the ground. This fusion of Mayan and Catholic beliefs creates a mystical atmosphere that deeply touches

He then goes to Zinacantán, a land of flowers and colors, where he visits his church adorned with fresh petals and a family cooperative. There, women proudly show him the art of the waist loom, an ancestral technique that has survived from pre-Columbian times, passed down through generations. Admire the beauty of its textiles, loaded with symbolism and dedication, and then move on to the kitchen, where it shares a typical regional drink and, if luck goes with it, handmade tortillas, warm and full of history. At the end of this immersive experience in the Tzotzil communities, we return to San Cristobal de Las Casas with a heart full of gratitude and senses full of culture, flavor and tradition

  3. 3San Cristobal - Blue Water & Misolha Waterfall- Palenque⌄

3.30am Departure from San Cristobal and enter a natural paradise when visiting the Blue Water Cascades, where water flows in intense turquoise tones over limestone formations, creating a series of falls and pools that seem to be pulled from a dream. Surrounded by lush Chiapas jungle, these waterfalls are a visual and sound spectacle that invites contemplation and wonder. A curious fact: the blue color of the water is due to its high mineral content and the sunlight reflecting off the calcareous bottom, a natural phenomenon that varies with the season and intensity of the flow

You enter the Chiapas jungle to discover the majestic Misol-Ha waterfall, a waterfall of more than 30 meters that collapses into a pool surrounded by lush vegetation. The sound of water and the freshness of the surroundings create a unique sensory experience. Fun fact: this stunning natural setting was used as a location in the film Predator (1987), starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, which brought him international fame and made him a film icon of the region
