Day by day itinerary

1. 1DAY 1. SAN JOSÉ, COSTA RICA⌄

   Welcome to San José, Costa Rica. Meet and greet at Juan Santamaría International Airport, followed by a shared transfer to your hotel in San José. Located in the Central Valley, San José is one of Latin America’s most cosmopolitan cities. Its central location provides convenient access to historic buildings, museums, theaters, handicraft markets, parks, shopping centers and a wide variety of restaurants. No meals are included today.

2. 2DAY 2. SAN JOSÉ – TORTUGUERO⌄

   Early morning departure from San José through Braulio Carrillo National Park. Upon arrival in Guápiles, enjoy a traditional Costa Rican breakfast. Continue through banana plantations to the dock, where you will board a boat for an approximately 90-minute journey along the rivers and canals leading to Tortuguero. Arrive at the lodge in time for lunch. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided visit to the picturesque village of Tortuguero. Dinner is included at the lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included today.

3. 3DAY 3. TORTUGUERO⌄

   Breakfast at the lodge. This morning, enjoy a guided boat tour through the canals of Tortuguero National Park, one of Costa Rica’s most biologically diverse protected areas. The canals are surrounded by lush tropical forest and provide excellent opportunities to observe wildlife. Later, take a guided nature walk along the lodge’s private trails. Afterward, enjoy free time at the lodge. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included today.

4. 4DAY 4. TORTUGUERO – PUERTO VIEJO DE LIMÓN⌄

   Breakfast at the lodge. In the morning, travel by boat back to the main dock and continue by ground transportation to Guápiles, where lunch will be served. In the afternoon, take a shared transfer to Puerto Viejo on Costa Rica’s Southern Caribbean coast. The region is known for its colorful beaches, coral reefs, coastal vegetation, Afro-Caribbean culture and traditional dishes such as patí and rice and beans.

   Overnight: Overnight at Villas del Caribe.

5. 5DAY 5. PUERTO VIEJO DE LIMÓN⌄

   Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free day in Puerto Viejo to relax on its beautiful beaches and experience the region’s tropical scenery, Afro-Caribbean culture, cuisine and music. Optional activities are available upon request.

   Overnight: Overnight at Villas del Caribe.

6. 6DAY 6. PUERTO VIEJO DE LIMÓN – ARENAL VOLCANO⌄

   Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take a shared transfer to La Fortuna and the Arenal Volcano region. Along the way, admire agricultural plantations, ornamental plant nurseries, cattle farms and tropical landscapes. The Arenal region is renowned for its impressive volcano, hot springs, lake and abundant natural beauty.

   Overnight: Overnight at Casa Luna Hotel.

7. 7DAY 7. ARENAL VOLCANO⌄

   Breakfast at the hotel. Begin with a 3.5-kilometer guided hike through primary forest and trails formed by solidified lava at Mirador El Silencio. The route provides excellent views of Arenal Volcano and the surrounding landscape. Continue to La Fortuna Waterfall, famous for its impressive 70-meter cascade. You may swim in the natural pool or enjoy the scenery before having lunch at a nearby restaurant. The excursion includes transportation, a bilingual guide, admission fees and lunch.

8. 8DAY 8. ARENAL VOLCANO – MANUEL ANTONIO⌄

   Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take a shared transfer from Arenal to Manuel Antonio. The journey leads from the volcanic landscapes and tropical forests of northern Costa Rica to the beautiful beaches and biodiversity of the Central Pacific coast. Manuel Antonio is renowned for its lush tropical scenery, white-sand beaches and abundant wildlife.

   Overnight: Overnight at Costa Verde Hotel.

9. 9DAY 9. MANUEL ANTONIO⌄

   Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy a free day to relax on the beach, soak up the sun and listen to the sounds of the Pacific Ocean. You may also have opportunities to observe local wildlife in its natural surroundings. Optional activities are available upon request.

   Overnight: Overnight at Costa Verde Hotel.

10. 10DAY 10. MANUEL ANTONIO⌄

    Breakfast at the hotel. Enjoy another free day in Manuel Antonio. Relax at the hotel or explore the destination at your own pace. Optional activities are available upon request.

    Meals: Breakfast: Lunch and dinner are not included today.

    Overnight: Overnight at Costa Verde Hotel.

11. 11DAY 11. MANUEL ANTONIO – SAN JOSÉ⌄

    Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning, take a shared transfer from Manuel Antonio to San José. The approximate travel time is four hours. End of services. Have a safe journey home. We hope to welcome you back to Costa Rica again soon.
