Day by day itinerary

1. 1Marrakech – Hight Atlas Mountain – Telouet – Ounila Valley– Ait Ben Haddou⌄

   Your Private Tour will start at 9 am from your accommodation Riad / Hotel in Marrakech. We journey over the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-N-Tichka pass 2260m/7500ft- It is the highest pass-road in Africa. Panoramic views over the Berber villages and beautiful landscapes in the background. We stop for a break and pictures.

   Later, we drive through the Ounila Valley We reach Kasbah of Telout, which was the seat of the powerful Glaoui family’s controlling the region. They were given political power in southern Morocco by King Moulay Hassan. After the visit, we lunch in Telouet village,

   then we continue our trip through beautiful Ounila Valley, a former route of the caravans from the Sahara over the Atlas Mountains to Marrakech.

   We arrive at the famous Ksar Ait Benhaddou built in the 11th century (UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987), where Lawrence of Arabia, The Jewel of the Nile, Gladiator, and Alexander have been filmed. Night in the hotel nearby.

   Overnight: Overnight at the Palm Grove in a Guesthouse at Zagora (in a half board).

2. 2Ait ben Haddou _ Tazenakht _ Foum Zguid _ Erg Chigaga⌄

   Depart from Ait Ben Haddou to Erg Chigaga, we stop at Taznakht village. Optional; visit the women’s cooperative for the carpet weavers, as Taznakht is known for.

   the Lifetime adventure continues to reach Foum-Zguid, the last village before going off-road. Stop for lunch. We will drive through different terrain, rocky desert, sand dunes, and oasis. Stopping at Iriqui Lake in the middle of nowhere. We will be in Erg Chigagga before sunset. Your camels will be ready at the dunes to start your trekking. Dinner, campfire, Nomads entertainment, and overnight in Berber tent at the Nomadic Desert Camp.

3. 3Erg Chigaga Sahara Desert to Zagora Via Tamagroute⌄

   Sunrise is a magical moment not to be missed. This is why the wake-up is gonna be early today, so you can climb to the top of the dunes and assist the most beautiful sunrise ever. After having your breakfast,

   we will leave Chigaga toward Zagora we drive by off-road for 2 hours, to join the tarmac road at M’hamid El Ghezlane in our way we will stop at the Oases many picture opportunities, We drive you towards Zagora through Tizi Anagame and Ben Selman Mountain,

   On the way, we will stop to visit the 16th-century village called Tamegroute. You will visit the Koranic school & its library, the Underground Kasbah, and the green pottery makers.

   Then drive to Zagora, we take a nice walk through the Palm grove & oases, till we get to the Jewish quarter so we can visit the Kasbah of Amzerou.

4. 4Zagora – Draa Valley - Jbel Saghrou – Todra Gorges⌄

   After breakfast, we resume our journey to the Todra Gorges along Draa Valley a fascinating Palm grove, oases, and ancient Kasbahs.

   We will pass through the Jbel Saghrou a volcanic mountain formation contrasted with the green oasis of Draa Valley, along the way you will see many small Berber villages until we arrive at the Palm Oases of Tinghir.

   From Tinghir, travel north along the Todra River to enter the famous Todra Mountain Gorge, It is a contrasted valley with Rocky canons & huge palm trees. We will absolutely make picture stops, at Mountain Gorge, (Its altitude: 400m/ 1312ft.) where you can walkthrough.

5. 5Todra gorges – Atlas Mountains –Medilt– Azrou – Ifrane – Fez⌄

   After breakfast We start our journey to Fez through the High Atlas mountains and descend via Midelt, We will stop for picture opportunities as we are driving along the way.

   We stop for lunch at Midelt the Apple capital.

   We continue along the Middle Atlas Mountains to Cedar forest.

   The last stop before Fez is Ifrane, this Swiss Moroccan city looks stunning. Houses with triangle roofs (lofts) and wide streets are very beautiful & clean even if it snows here during the season.

   later we drive to Fes, Your 5 Days from Marrakech to Fes Via Erg Chigaga will be ends around 6 pm at your accommodation riad & Hotel Fes.
