Overview

2 days to the Erg Chigaga Desert from Ouarzazate. A great opportunity to discover different fortified Kasbahs: Amezrou, then Draa Valley, in order to spend an overnight at the Nomadic Desert Camp. Camel trekking in the sand dunes to assist both the sunset and sunrise. Experience the Nomadic life in a short tour from Ouarzazate in just 2 days.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Day 1 OUARZAZATE - FOUM ZGUID - LAKE IRIQUI - ERG CHIGAGA DUNES (6 hours drive)⌄

    Departure in the morning direction to Erg Chigaga through Taznakht. We will have lunch in Foum Zguid

    and continue to dry salt Lake Iriqui and the dunes of Erg Chigaga.

    We´ll arrive at a camp with Berber tents in Chigaga, walking in the dunes to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight in the camp.

  2. 2Day 2 ERG CHIGAGA DUNES - MHAMID - TAMEGROUT - ZAGORA - DRAA VALLEY - OUARZAZATE⌄

    After breakfast, we will drive to M’hamid crossing 64 km through the dunes and oases of the Hamada desert.

    After M’hamid, we will stop at Tamegrout to visit the Koranic Library and the underground Kasbah.

    We arrive in Zagora around noon to have lunch

    and continue through Draa Valley back to Ouarzazate.
