Day by day itinerary

  1. 1We leave Bogotá⌄

    We pick you up at your hotel or accommodation from Bogotá and depart for the state of Boyacá on a journey of approximately 9 hours with several breaks along the way.

  2. 2Arrival to El Cocuy⌄

    8:00 am. Arrival at the municipality of El Cocuy, breakfast, Check-in at the Hotel, and rest 1:00 p.m. Time for lunch 2:00 p.m. Registration in National Natural Parks of Colombia. Talk and recommendations to enter the El Cocuy National Natural Park 3:00 p.m. Ecological walk for acclimatization and adaptation in which you will see landscapes of páramo in the viewpoint hill. 4:00 p.m. City tour. We will tour the urban area of El Cocuy learning about the history, architecture, and economy of the locals. 5:30 p.m. Back to the hotel. Leisure time. The purchase of food for lunch the next day in the mountain is recommended.

  3. 3We begin the climb⌄

    4:00 a.m. Breakfast and departure to the Sierra Nevada del Cocuy 5:30 am. Trekking, hiking and ascent. Touring the points of: -Valley of the Frailejones -Large Lagoon of the Sierra -Sighting of the sugar loaf peaks, the pulpit of the devil, concave and concavite, portals peak, and Ritak'uwa 5.00 pm Return to the municipality of El Cocuy

    Overnight: 2-night stay. Private room.

  4. 4Come back to Bogotá⌄

    10:00 a.m. Breakfast and check-out of the hotel. 11:00 am. Natural hot spring pool 11:00 a.m. Return to Bogotá 2:00 p.m. Time for lunch on the road 11:00 p.m. Return to your hotel or place of accommodation in Bogotá.
