Two days, two very different sides of the Yucatán Peninsula. The first day focuses on the Riviera Maya, combining the ancient Tulum archaeological site, an opportunity to observe sea turtles in Akumal, and a swim in Cenote Nohoch.
The second day takes you to northern Yucatán, where the landscape changes completely. Discover the distinctive pink lagoons of Las Coloradas, then explore the mangroves of Ría Lagartos by boat, with opportunities to spot flamingos, crocodiles, and native birds. The day also includes a traditional Mayan mud bath and time to enjoy local cuisine.
Discover Las Coloradas, a coastal destination in Yucatán known for its distinctive pink lagoons. Walk along the designated viewing areas and learn how the lagoons get their characteristic color from the area’s high salt concentration and microorganisms. Depending on the season and conditions, you may also spot flamingos feeding in the surrounding wetlands. Continue to Ría Lagartos, where you’ll board a boat and cruise through the canals and mangroves of this protected natural area. Keep an eye out for flamingos, crocodiles, and native bird species as you explore the reserve from the water. The experience continues with a traditional Mayan mud bath on a quiet beach before heading to a local restaurant to enjoy a fresh meal and experience the regional flavors of Yucatán.
