Nights are spent in beds in the refuges, and are included in the package price, and include bed linen and towels. Therefore, you don't need to carry as much weight in your backpack, which makes this journey accessible to most people who are in good physical condition.

In terms of equipment, the essentials are a minimum 40L backpack and trail shoes with good grip.

    Snack at the Pati viewpoint with wonderful 180 degree views over the Pati Valley

    Meals: Lunch: Snack with panoramic views over the Pati Valley · Dinner: Dinner in the first refuge in the heart of Chapada Diamantina National Park. River bathing in the Funis River for those who want.

    Overnight: Overnight in the first refuge in Vale do Pati

  2. 2Morro do Castelo⌄

    Walk in the Morro do Castelo with 3 wonderful viewpoints over the valleys around the Morro.

    Meals: Breakfast: Hearty breakfast at the refuge. · Lunch: Snack on Castelo hill with sensational views over the Calixto Valley. · Dinner: Generous dinner at the second refuge

    Overnight: Sleep in the second refuge, in the heart of Vale do Pati

  3. 3Cachoeirão Waterfall from above (280 m high)⌄

    The group arrives around noon at the top of Cachoeirão, the ninth highest waterfall in Brazil at 280m high. 2 viewpoints allow you to see the waterfall from 2 different angles. Soon after, the guide organizes a snack at Piscina do Cachoeirão, 3 minutes away on foot.

    Meals: Breakfast: Reinforced breakfast in the second refuge. · Lunch: Generous snack at the Cachoeirão swimming pool, a 3-minute walk from Mirante do Cachoeirão.
