    Point State Park is located at the confluence of Allegheny River, Monongahela River and Ohio River. Before the establishment of Pittsburgh City, in the middle of the 18th century, the location of Point State Park today has important military strategic value, because it can control the access to the Ohio River, which is also the main road connecting the north of today's Canada, with the colony of Louisiana.
