Begin your journey in Colonia del Sacramento, a charming town founded in 1680 by Portuguese settlers. Stroll along cobblestone streets, admire colorful colonial houses, and soak in the timeless atmosphere that earned Colonia its UNESCO World Heritage status.

From there, continue to Montevideo, Uruguay’s vibrant capital and regional hub. Explore the historic Old City, centered around Independence Square, and feel the blend of Spanish colonial heritage with modern life in neighborhoods like Carrasco, Punta Carretas, Pocitos, and Malvín. With one of the most important ports in the region, Montevideo offers a seamless mix of culture, history, and urban energy, making this journey through Uruguay truly unforgettable.

Day by day itinerary

  1. 1Departure from Buenos Aires, Arrival to Colonia and transfer to Montevideo.⌄

    A great adventure awaits you! We will pick you up early, around 7:00 am, our driver picks you up from your hotel/Airbnb and takes you to Buenos Aires ferry station. After going through customs (note that passports are required) you board the ferry for a comfortable and pleasant 1 hours ride across the “Rio Plata” that separates Argentina from Uruguay.

    Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your local guide and embark on a walking tour of the city’s most iconic landmarks for a 2-hour stroll. As you visit each of the city's emblematic sites, your passionate local guide will take you on a journey through time, sharing live commentary full of information you won’t find in any book or travel guide. You will have free time for lunch (lunch not included)

    Later, we'll head to the capital of Uruguay, Montevideo. During the approximately 2-hour drive, you'll enjoy beautiful scenery until you reach your accommodation. Overnight in Montevideo

  2. 2City tour in Montevideo & Return to Buenos Aires.⌄

    In the morning, enjoy a delicious breakfast included at your hotel. You will have free time to explore the city on your own and have lunch (lunch not included).

    Around 1:30 PM, your guide will pick you up at the hotel and you embark on a tour of the city’s highlights. In three fun-filled and exciting hours you discover the city’s unique atmosphere that combines Latin American and European cultural influences. Admire the impressive colonial architecture at the city’s Old District and Independence Square, be blown away by the intricate architecture of Uruguay’s tallest building, drive by the promenade enjoying fantastic views of the city’s sandy beaches and stop at an Agricultural Market to learn about traditional Uruguayan products. Later, your guide will take you to the ferry terminal for your return to Buenos Aires.

    Arrival in Buenos Aires will be around 10:00 PM, where another driver will be waiting to safely take you to your hotel

  • Rates are per person. If you are a solo traveler, you will have single occupancy. If there are two or more travelers, you will have double or triple occupancy. If single occupancy is required, we can certainly provide a quote.
  • The return tickets are direct and subject to availability; if they are sold out, the ferry tickets will include a bus transfer to Colonia and a ferry from Colonia to Buenos Aires.
  • Children must be accompanied by an adult
  • Rates do not apply to special dates such as Christmas and New Year's.
